Fitbit not connecting to bluetooth

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had my fb for a year...never had any issues. Today it is struggling to connect to Bluetooth. Earlier I plugged the fb into the charging cable and reset it, I then deleted and re added it t my Bluetooth settings...this was successful. However, a few hours later and it is no longer syncing again.

is the problem with my Fitbit or my phone (iPhone 6s).

thanks for any info

I guess I tried that at least 10 times, along with all the other suggestions on your site. I also did several hard resets on my phone and the Fitbit. I guesstimate spent about three hours trying everything. I paired my wife’s Fitbit with my phone OK and paired my Fitbit with her phone (both phones are. iPhone 8s and both Fitbits are the same model - Inspire HR. Finally, for no reason, the Fitbit connected with my phone. I’ve lost some data and had a frustrating time but I hope it’s OK for a while.

I am having this issue also.  My Charge3 is not connecting to anything via bluetooth, have followed instructions several times, still to no avail.  Very frustrating!  Also notice that because of this the time is getting out of sync, loosing around 1 hour per day.

I’m having the same issue and I have the iPhone11. I’ve been having issues all week with the time being incorrect until I would sync it but now it doesn’t even show up as a device on my phone. I’ve done the iPhone update, app update, uninstalled and reinstalled the app (twice), rebooted both devices, turned the Bluetooth on an off...nothing, I’ve had mine for a couple years now and never had an issue until this week.

Hi Marina,

I know how frustrating this is. It sounds as if you have done everything except resetting (rather than rebooting) which puts Fitbit back to factory settings as if it’s a new one. TBH, there was not one obvious thing I did that made it connect - it just did it on the #th attempt! I think it has something to do with either the exact sequence of how one tries to connect or it might be interference with other Bluetooth devices - try moving out of range of any other Bluetooth devices. I had a problem with an app which kept disconnecting from my ebike and found it that it was caused by my Fitbit and I can only use this app if my Fitbit is a good 50m away from my bike!

Good luck

I did that and it worked for me as well, however, as soon as my Fitbit goes out of range, which could be in the backyard, my iPhone can’t reconnect. I have to repeat the process of “forgetting the device “ and adding it again both under Bluetooth devices and the Fitbit app.

Hello everyone. @Tremal Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for the information and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. At this time, I'd recommend making sure that there aren't any other Bluetooth devices nearby or please turn off the Bluetooth on those device. Also, if you have many devices connected to your iPhone's Bluetooth, I recommend removing them and test the behavior of your Fitbit device.

If the inconvenience persists, please contact our Customer Support and they will be more than glad to continue assisting you. Please make sure to provide a brief explanation of the inconvenience and mention the troubleshooting steps you've followed, this way they can assist you from there.

Sorry that you’re having problems. I wish I could be more helpful. I just kept trying over and over again and finally it worked. It has worked fine since - about a year now.

I have owned every version of the Charge and have never had an issue until I got the 5. It hasn’t synced since 4/26/22. I have done everything suggested several times. The charge 5 has been a huge disappointment to me. The syncing issue being the latest and most challenging disappointment of all. Additionally, the battery life fell off significantly compared to previous models, it is harder to navigate, I have to turn my wrist several times before it will wake up. I was excited when it came out, but may have to go back to my 4 or move on to something else.

very disappointed!

Exact same problems I’ve been having the past couple months. I’ve tried everything you have and I have the same phone. No solution but it’s nice to see I’m not the only one.
