I went for a walk today of around 5 miles. My Garmin Etrex20 gave the distance as 5.64 miles. When I stopped my Fitbit charge 4 it said I had done 6.48 miles. So I exported the TCX file and converted to GPX. That only gave 4.84 miles. However the track stopped before the end of the walk. I estimate the missing piece of track was about 1.19 miles so that would give 6.03 miles. Which is still not very consistent with the Garmin. I have had this before when I do longish walks say 5 -7 miles it doesn't track the distance very well compared to the Garmin. I expect some difference for my friend with another Garmin Etrex30 usually differs by say .01 or 02 of a mile. Any ideas? And why should the FitBit stop tracking i was in open country. So it couldn't have lost the signal?
