Friend's fitbit charge 3 is beeping while mine is vibrating

Hi. Both me and my friend have had fitbit charge 3's for a while now, and I've noticed that their's beeps as well as vibrates. Mine only vibrates. I have done some research and apparently if the fitbit charge 3 beeps it is a bad sign. is this true? what should I tell them?

No fitbit model released so far - including the Charge 3 - has speakers so they can't beep. I do find though that sometimes when they are vibrating e.g. for a notification, then that can be audible. Could this be what you are hearing?

I'm not sure, as the beeping is high pitched
