Hello, hoping someone can help me as this is driving me nuts.
I box three times a week using hand wraps and gloves. This involves, press ups, sit ups, heavy bag work etc. I've tried my change 2 band above my gloves, under my wraps and in a last ditched attempt last night I fastened it to my ankle.
Still same readings. I train hard for an hour and 15 mins, I am soaked through when I come out. However my fitbit only detects 23 mins and reads as 170 calories burned. Which is ridiculous. I walk my kids to the bus stop round the corner and that reads 20 mins (10min walk each way) and that alone burns 111 and that's not even breaking a sweat.
I've recently upgraded from fitbit flex to fitbit versa HR and now charge 2 is doing exactly the same.
Is it just that fit bit isn't cut out to take this kind of cardio/impact or do i need a different fitbit which is more accurate?
Any help or advice would be greatly received!
Many thanks
Laura

@Stokoelokoe Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry to hear about your workouts not being properly detected. Your tracker detects activities based on the motion on your arm. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your tracker detects the motion and record the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. If your heart rate is high but there isn't much motion (yoga, weight lifting, etc.) then these activities will be difficult to be detected by your tracker. Still you can manually log your activity so you have a record on your account or use the activity mode on the device itself. Additionally I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device. The heart rate will contribute to a better caloric burn calculation.
Let me know how it goes.
