Frustrated with Charge 3 and the IOS app.

I have had a Fitbit of some sort for about 8 years or more now.  In January, I upgraded to a Charge 3.  This worked great for a couple of months and then the device went bad all of the sudden.  It wouldn't hold a charge.  I would charge it and it would last for a few minutes and then it was dead.  Fitbit replaced the device since it was still under warranty.  Now the new device has several dead lines running through it and makes it hard to read the screen.  Plus, I am having problems with the IOS app.  Sleep and hourly steps are not being recorded.  This has been happening for about a month to 6 weeks (I am beginning to wish I would have recorded when all of the problems started happening.  Now my almost new, only about 3-4 months old device is not holding a charge.  I am having to charge about every 2 days.  I have never had so many problems with a Fitbit device before.  Wondering if there is a problem with the Charge 3 or what is going on.  Getting frustrated and considering looking towards a different company.
