Your phone is not on the list of Approved Devices.

@Reaganbwarner Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! As @SunsetRunner said your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Let me know how it goes!

I have this phone model, and it worked fine with my Charge 2 until a few weeks ago. Not sure what happened, but I realized my phone quit syncing with my Fitbit around 1/9/2019, earlier this week and have spent several DAYS trying to get it to work.

I've tried all the following in various sequences with no luck. It consistently hangs after I enter the four digit code and just shows the word Connecting and a spinning circle. I've left it at this point for up to 10 or 15 minutes with no success.

  1. Turning off the Bluetooth on the phone, waiting 10 seconds and turning it back on
  2. Rebooting the Charge2 by connecting to the charging cable and holding the button down for four seconds
  3. Rebooting the phone by turning the power off, waiting and then starting the phone up by holding down the power button
  4. Deleting all the Bluetooth devices, turning off the Bluetooth, waiting 10 seconds, turning Bluetooth back on
  5. Removing and reinstalling the Fitbit app on my phone
  6. Double checking on the website to confirm the Fitbit has been removed from my account

This is VERY frustrating, and means that my Fitbit is basically an expensive watch because it won't link with the only device I want it linked to

@peggysr Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 isn't syncing with your phone and thank you for following my suggestions. Try resetting the network connections on your phone and retry the setup. You could also try using a different phone or computer.

Keep me posted!

From what I remember, the J7 got an update around 1/9-1/10. My Charge 2 stopped workin then also. Ive gone thru every conceivable option to resync. Its still hanging after i input the pin. Its syncs on my other phone, a Galaxy S7. Samsung Galaxy J7 Model: SM-J727P Software Ver: J727PVPS5BSA3 Hardware Ver: J727P.02 Androind Ver: 8.1 (Oreo) IMEI: 353559081740480 Droid Security patch: Feb 1 2019 If more detailed info is needed about the J7, please let me know and Ill provide it.

I was able to resolve the issue by removing all other bluetooth connections and syncing once with a Windows laptop. I think you're correct about the update because that's exactly when the issue started.
