Golf sessions ending prematurely

I've been a FB user since 2014.
I have a number of shortcuts to training sessions on my FB Charge 3.
When I invoke the Golf session it starts as it should but most of the time the session ends without me finishing it on my FB. This is deeply irritating. I thought it would be fixed in later versions of the software or device but it's been happening for about 2 years now.
Most of the other activities seem to work ok (they're shorter) but it seems that any notification that comes in while I'm golfing just stops the session.

Can someone tell me why this is happening and provide a fix?

Hi @EamusH, It's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums, welcome back. Sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the details that were shared in your post, it's nice to see that you're part of the Fitbit family since 2014! Seems odd that the golf activity is being recorded in such way, certainly this is not a common situation nor the way the Charge 3 was designed to perform. That being said and to better assist you, can you please let me know if you experience the same with another activity that lasts as long as the golf one? Maybe if you run for a long period or do a biking activity? When the activity ends, your device start tracking your stats as normal or what happens?

If you haven't already done so and in the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Charge 3 to refresh its performance:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • For Charge 3—press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Keep me posted.
