Welcome to the Community @vonho. Thanks for troubleshooting this inconvenience by yourself. I recommend restarting your Charge HR a couple or times more and double check that the heart rate feature is off by doing the following from a computer:

1. Go to Settings

2. Go to Devices

3. Go to Heart Rate

4. Select "Auto" or "Off"

5. Sync

If these steps don't work, feel free to contact our support team, for a faster response you can contact them via phone or chat.

Let me know the outcome. Woman Happy

Tried numerous time turning the heart rate on, off and auto but still the green light is turned on.

Email support group, was told that my FitBit warranty has over and was offer a discount for my next FitBit. No solution given though! If the problem happened before the warranty reaches, I am sure they will replace one for me. Too bad.... Not sure if I will be getting another FitBit....

@vonho So sorry to hear that your tracker's lights are still on even though you have turned the setting to auto. I just have one more question, did you make sure to sync your tracker after changing the setting to auto? Since syncing your tracker makes the change to take effect on the device.

Regarding the warranty, please take a look at this page which contains extra info about the warranty policies.

I'm having the same issue and I have tried changing heart rate to off because mine was on auto but still no change.  I've only had my tidbit since Christmas.

Get a replacement quick if it is still under warranty. Mine exceeded the warranty period and was told by fitbit that there is no repair and advised me to get a new one. Mine was only 1 month after the warranty period 😞

@Sam70 Thanks for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! So sorry to hear that the heart rate setting doesn't change. Please restart your tracker as advised in Alejandra's post. Once this has been done, try the troubleshooting steps that Alejandra and I shared.

@vonho I really appreciate your feedback and comments. As you mentioned, the warranty period is good for 365 days. I appreciate your understanding with this.

In the past 3 days, I have gotten the exact same problem, although mine is with a charge 2. Tried doing what is recommended above, to no avail. What is my next step? Fyi, my battery is lasting less than a. Day.

You are not alone with the green light always staying on and draining battery!  This just started with mine within the last week.  UGH!  Over a year since I have had mine.  For the price paid for them, one would think it would last longer than 18 months!

Agreed! This is my 2nd fitbit to last less than 1 year. Hope tgeyre taking all this into consideration as they create new ones!

HI - I am also getting the same issue; have had my fitbit for just over 3 years now so assume its over the warranty now? I have tried turning the heart rate on and of and ensured my fitbit is sync'd.

I don't know if this is helpful but I actually got through via telephone to a help desk. The gentleman there told me to clean my Fitbit with alcohol and restart it and it worked!

Hey! I have for 2 years and I’m having same issue (and no warranty anymore). Did you have any success on fixing yours ?

Best Answer
No - my fitbit ended up dying shortly after I wrote this post (as in completely stopped charging) so I gave up and bought an Apple Watch instead!
