Yes, if it's outside the 1 year warranty they will offer a 25% discount to buy a new one. But, it's important to note that if there is a promotion currently going on, like the Father's Day promotion, they won't let you take the 25% off the sale price, which is totally dumb. But that's how they do it.

I'm seriously considering an option instead of FitBit. Doing my research  now.

My FitBit Charge 3 lasted only 1 year and 4 months. Is that how long they last? Seems unreasonably short.

That's pretty much spot on. So. Totally sucks!

Gray lines on Charge 3 Screen for last week. Have tried holding down button for 8 secs.

Have changed wrist band recently.

I am now experiencing the gray lines with a 14 month old Charge 3. Customer service refused to stand behind their product and only offered me a 25% discount. No thanks, I'll go back to Garmin.

I have had the same appear on my 20 month  Charge 3 screen this morning! Nothing will get rid of them and this is also after issues with exercise not being recognised too. Beginning to think Charge 3 only has a limited life and is probably the worst of FitBit’s products! Maybe why they’re on sale now for only £70 online now. Undecided whether to risk another FitBit product or head to Garmin!

Yup, not syncing either. And been sold to Google for further tracking 😞

I'm having the same problem. Just started today. Grey screen with lines, I've tried everything people have suggested here. Nothing seems to work. I just bought new bands for it too. I don't think it's even a year old yet.

If it's less than a year old, open a ticket and they should send you a new
one.

Thanks. Sadly it’s not. But, at this price, you’d think it would last
longer.

You're right. The replacement they sent me just died after about 7 or 8
months so that 2 in just over 18 months. I've already ordered a Garmin
vivoactive 3. Pricier by about $40 but seems to be more rugged and durable.
Time will tell.

I've tried everything as well, but nothing gets rid of the gray screen and white lines. It's still syncing and counting steps, calories etc. But it's annoying, my is just over a year old . This is my 3rd Fit bit,  I've never had a problem before but maybe it's time to switch brands apparently they don't care about addressing the problem.Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S® 6, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone

It IS frustrating! I bought one in Feb 2019 that died the end of Sep 2019. To their credit, Fitbit DID replace it in Oct 2019. But the replacement now has the gray screen with lines and will not reset! And since it was a replacement, I am out of luck. I am really struggling with whether to try another Fitbit product. I kind of feel it's throwing good $$ after bad, but I'm not sure what else to go with!

I start having the same issue this morning. It sure is frustrating and as it is written in the previous 8-page comments, NOTHING works to solve the problem. I will not bother myself contacting the customer service, as it is obvious that they do not care anymore. Time to change the brand. It should have lasted a lot more at this price. What a shame.

Joining the grey screen club, very disappointing that FitBit fail to accept a basic fault in the product, I guess an update issue?

Just hope that Which magazine takes it off he best buy list.

Even more disappointing is that their advice/solution is to update to the Charge 4! As if I would want to spend MORE money on what is basically the same device, with a few more bells and whistles! No thank you!

But after the second replacement from Fitbit it's fixed now. (I was still under warranty). But did need patience.

Wow, I'm impressed! How did you manage to get a second replacement?! They flat out refused me! Told me my only option was to buy a new one.

I was in contact via chat. Could not get the first replacement to sync. Sent it back with the charger and received the second replacement - which worked. Was still under warranty.
