HR 3 DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - Product Recall Requested Constant Faulty UNIT!

I bought the HR 3 having replaced my HR 2 and trust me when I say I NEVER leave reviews - I know that is bad - but what it does tell you is that me leaving one today is down to this unit been a complete waste of time and money. Fibit needs to sort itself out and get its head out of the sand on the HR 3 and recall them as a huge amount of these units simply do not work. Trying to get a replacement unit is laughable. 

 

This is not down to 1 individual issue with the unit - that a full tech reboot can resolve -this is a completely faulty unit, yet after 4 interactions with Fitbit, 2 separate cases launched and still no resolution.

 

Buy this unit and you may as well throw your £130 out of the window.

 

We bought this unit 3 months ago and it has never worked properly - either auto sports, sleep tracker, step count never worked correctly. We have had several re-boots including complete factory reboot / data deletion and re-set up, "7 times re-boot", "12 times reboot" and so on.

 

The reason I explain this is this is what you will go throng if you get a faulty unit - and the chances are you will! This is the most faulty item I think I have ever seen on the market - just look at this forum or Amazon and you will see why.

 

My advice is if you have a HR2 keep it and wait until Fitbit either recall or resolve these units as the risk factor is too high and you may as well go buy a lottery ticket and hope you win compared to receiving a HR 3 that fully works and that you will then have to spend countless hours trying to "prove" to fitbit that your unit is faulty!? I mean seriously Fitbit - yes we are trying to con you out of new replacement probable another faulty unit? It was apparently easier to send the unit back for a refund than get a replacement unit? I mean what is the point in that when you need a tracker for your recordings? I have literally wasted 3 months tracking data that is inaccurate and pointless and what do I receive for this - more instructions on how to reboot and test the unit for them!? As I said to the support person why should I be testing your units that clearly do not work but they offer no explanation and just act like it will now work - it does not, it never does and it always stops working! 

 

Fitbit are not stupid of course and they are aware of this and are making life as hard as they can to replace and refund units and this should be a complete product recall.

 

Anyway as I say take this seriously and do not waste your money as you will not get a replacement unit if it is faulty and the chances are it will be!

 

Fitbit need to get into this century on how to deal with customers and products that do not work - remember Nokia........

Seeing that there Charge 3 is fitbits most popular model of all their models, if it was only 10% as bad as yo mention I would expect the web would be flooded with complaints.

Couldn’t have put it better myself jons14. Had mine since December, sleep data rubbish, counts floors when I’m driving, had a case open with support team who advised the 15 second reboot would fix problems, unfortunately this made things even worse! 

 

Have 2 new problems now, have too reboot most days to get Bluetooth too work, and vibration has stopped working when getting notifications.

 

So I now have 4 problems with it!

 

Technical supports answer too stop it counting floors when I am driving was to take it off my wrist! Very technically supported I must say. 

 

I would urge anyone on this site thinking of buying a charge 3 not too. And if a moderator offers to raise a case for you, don’t bother as it will be exactly the same instructions you receive here. Because they haven’t got any idea how to fix all these issues.

 

I have put this down too very bad experience and will certainly never buy from this company again, as I’m sure most of you in this forum have decided yourselfs. And I will be using all forms of social media too make sure this company’s product is slated whenever I can.

 

Cant even recoup some of my lost £130 selling the **ahem** thing on, because it’s a worthless piece off junk!

Mine works great, no issues here.  I've had mine for several months and it's my favorite Fitbit.  Everything works and is very accurate.  Love it so much.

And it's not called "HR 3".  The name of the product is Charge 2 or Charge 3.

I sent back a first one because it definitely was not waterproof and it smelled weird on the inside no matter what amount of instructed cleaning I did nothing fixed it. They sent me a replacement at the end of September or October 2019 I got it at the beginning of the next month and this past Monday February 3rd 2020 less than 6 -7 months The replacement one they sent me The screen pixelated out of nowhere and it has vertical lines running down it. contact a customer service and they try to say that I've returned this one already which is hilarious because ended up finding out that the one that they sent me as a replacement was a returned "retired" one that should not have gone back out to another customer. Instead of making it right they said oh sorry we can't do anything it's out of warranty. I understand my warranty ended for the first one but for the replacement one they sent me to go bad in under six months that's total rubbish that company is rubbish. They just sent me some stupid 25% off coupon of a new item. Like how I buy another product from them again. I already lost enough money on their stock.
