Has there been a resolution to the Charge 2 bluetooth pairing and sync issues?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Please, let's not do a bunch of "yeah, I'm having the same problem." That's what the other thread has already done (85 posts). Hard to sort through it all. I don't see anyone from customer service om that thread, so I'm wondering if they are ignoring the problem.

For this thread, please, only post a solution that worked or specific instructions you got from customer service.

Thanks.

Note that fitbit's customer support do not monitor these user forums. The moderators help out where they can but they are not part of support.

In terms of solutions, I have had several confirmation posts that the following steps can work:

Thanks for the informative reply.

I don't understand what you mean by swipe on the clock face to Settings. I see various symbols such as stairs, heart, etc. but nothing that sys or looks like Settings.

I'm not sure if that note in the help file applies to the Charge 2 as well as the Charge 3 and I no longer have my Charge 2 to test it. The second version of the restart in that file (holding the button for 4 seconds while on charge) certainly works though.

I had the same problem. I let my Fitbit die completely, then charged it and all the sudden it started to sync again. Hope that works!

I highly suspect - given all the recent complaints on this very issue -- that this has been an intentional planned malfunction on the device. I was on the phone for a whole hour with customer support. The issues is connectivity with Bluetooth. Even after downloading the app to my Mac, it was not able to find an internet connection, which is not true since I just downloaded the app. Of course, they offered to sell me a new one at a modest discount.

This one smells rotten.

Restarting my Charge 2 fixed my sync issue. Was having issues since the update 2 days ago and restarting my phone did not work (usually does) but restarting the fit it itself did.

Good luck

Okay, maybe a workaround, I am on the desktop app (actually the fitbit page where I am logged in as the user.

How can I sync from this page? I don't see anything that says or looks like "Sync now."

Are you referring to the web dashboard at www.fitbit.com ? If so, you can't sync from there. On desktops you need to sync via the fitbit app or the fitbit connect software depending on your OS. This help file covers each of the ways to manually sync: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1877
