Heart rate and GPS tracking with phone

I've seen this posted several times with little responses from Fitbit that adequately address it. So here is another one. When can we expect a fix for the HR tracking issue for those also needing the GPS function? We understand that if you track from the Fitbit it will capture your HR. We also understand if we track from the phone we can get the GPS. Why has it been so long that we can't have both on the phone?
