Heart rate not showing on exercise

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Last week after my run I noticed there was no information about my Heart Rate on the Dashboard, it had the Map, Splits, Calories, Impact... but no Heart Rate as a category.  I reset my Fitbit and reconnected the Bluetooth but it still does not show after a workout.  It does track my Heart Rate for sleep, resting, BPM...

Any suggestions?

I would say no it won't be fixed.  I've been talking to Fitbit about this for months.  Nothing has changed.  I'm returning mine tomorrow.

Hello, I still have the same issue with my Fitbit Charge 2 and it is 6 month later. My Fitbit track my HR all day and when I run. But when I come back to analyze my activity I don’t have the HR for my run. I really need to have a fix on that as I am soon changing my watch but if I don’t have the HR for my activity the watch is not really useful.

So I was having the same issue with my charge 2 as well, not tracking heart rate over the course of my Peloton Rides.   I went into the exercise and selected "categorize exercise and found the corresponding Peloton ride, selected it and LO AND BEHOLD it worked.  So if this isn't working for you, try to "categorize" the exercise.

Where do you find "categoroze"?

This issue is still a problem, is there any more information when this will be fixed?

I have the Galaxy S9+ and a Blaze and charge 2, everything is up to date.

It has to do with an update on the app back in early 2019.

Just bought a inspire HR yesterday. It got an update during setup. The problem is still exactly as you described Jess_versa. Hope this gets fixed soon. I bought the HR version for a reason!

I have a charge 3 but I also have this issue. I track my workouts through the phone (long story) and I know HR used to display in the workout data. But it hasn't for awhile. But when you go to the HR stat directly, it does the HR during my workout. Also  on the workout information there is a button for HR data  on the map. But while I click it it says data not available.  Looks to me like it might be some kind of placeholder for a premium feature. Fitbit has a lot of good about it, but it's shortcomings are starting to outway the good.

So pretty sure i figured out why the change. It's to prevent other apps from having access to heart rate data.

There's a bunch of threads on mapmyrun asking for heart rate syncs and their devs say the problem is on fitbit side that they can't pull the heart rate

You're probably correct. It's just aggravating not to be able to use
probably the most important characteristic of the fitbit.

1 year later and no fix. It is very dissapointing to see Fitbit cannot solve this. A major feature which seems quite standard. I use a workaround tracking runs. Starting a run on my watch and in my app, so Fitbit tracks 2 runs, and in 1 of them in the end it combines route with heart rate. It is not a full proof work around; having only the incomplete run data in my Strava, last week I exported the run to TCX-file and it only recorded my start and end point.

A new issue for me is that the Fitbit app stopped syncing my Withings scale data last month. Will it ever be fixed?

The Fitbit Sense seems to me as a nice smartwatch with a lot of functionality I like, and especially the battery life keeps me from buying Apple watch.. However I do not know if I can rely on Fitbit, having these experiences....What can I expect from Fitbit?

no it's still not fixed. I finally dumped my Fitbit about 3 months ago.
I'll go with another brand

I have upgraded to the Fitbit 3 and have the premium app service and I
still have to run both my fitbit and phone at the same time to get all the
features I used to get by starting my phone only.

I just recently started tracking with GPS and noticed this occurring too. All my auto-detected exercise activities show my heart rate, but my GPS tracked activities do not. Why in the world would they *remove* functionality?!
