Last week after my run I noticed there was no information about my Heart Rate on the Dashboard, it had the Map, Splits, Calories, Impact... but no Heart Rate as a category. I reset my Fitbit and reconnected the Bluetooth but it still does not show after a workout. It does track my Heart Rate for sleep, resting, BPM...
Any suggestions?

Hello @Hildyhildyhildy thanks for your post, it's a pleasure to give you a hand with your concern. Welcome to the Community Forums!
I appreciate all the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which mobile device you're using to sync your Fitbit? Also, when was the first time you experienced this and with how many exercises? This only occurs with a specific activity or with all of them? In the meantime I receive your answers, I recommend you to restart your Fitbit device and make sure that your Fitbit app, platform operating system and Charge 2 are up to date.
Keep me posted.

Hi, I have the exact same problem as the OP. Would you be able to help me with this issue? I am using an iPhone, have been experiencing this problem since around 3 August 2019, and it only occurs when I go for a run.

My phone is the Google Pixel 2. The "Heart Rate" feature just stopped showing up about a month ago. I typically start tracking my run from my phone but have noticed that if I use my Fitbit " Run" to track my workout it ends up tracking the "Heart Rate" but I don't get notifications of my time at each mile. My work around has been to start both the Fitbit and phone app. I have reset my Fitbit and deleted and reinstalled the app and it still doesn't work.

My issue is slightly different, in that case. When I go for a run, and track the activity using the Fitbit app, my heart rate is being monitored on my Fitbit device during the run, but when I look at the Fitbit app afterwards, I can see the map, splits, calories burned etc., but not the heart rate as I used to be able to. Everything else works perfectly fine, I just am unable to view my heart rate on the app.

@RicardoFitbit or someone else from Fitbit, are you able to advise on how to fix this issue on my Fitbit??

Hello?

This is a direct result of the app update. My HR zones also stopped working when I track my exercise (I track through my phone as well because the GPS distance is more accurate through that). After speaking to a fitbit customer service rep, I was told that there is “no fix in the immediate future”. They essentially threw their hands up with this. I’m extremely disappointed in their customer service and app development teams.

Thank you for the feedback and yes that is disappointing! If you start the run feature on both the Fitbit and phone it tracks both the GPS times on one workout and heart rate for the other workout. Also on the phone app, if you go into the heart rate section it will show how much time you are in the different zones but is for the day not specifix workout.

The only reason I own a Charge2 is to plot HR vs my exercise route. This feature was killed by the FW “update” which was closely followed by an update to the app. I predict this feature I purchased this device for is about to become subscription based. All of the problems reported associated with this FW change could be taken care of with a roll back to the previous FW but they won’t do it... The reason for not doing it is not a technical one.

I have chatted and called Fitbit on this issue. They told me that the app never tracked heart rate, which I know is not true, because I have stats for it. I always used my phone because I like hearing the times. I’m frustrated and even told the rep that I may look into different devices. I have always recommended Fitbit, but if they are going to get rid of good features that other trackers have, I’ll go with something else. They told me not to run the tracker run with the app tracking exercise. Basically they told me, you either get heart rate or voice cues. Extremely disappointed.

Funny thing is, my friend still has the feature. Also, tech support acted like it never existed. I don’t want to pay when there are other ways to get the info free. Guess I resort to running multiple trackers at the same time and begin my search for a new device, that will do it.

I have the same concerns. I have always used the heart-rate feature on my app-initiated runs. It is very useful information, which no longer appears on the dashboard online or the app. Fitbit has dramatically reduced the accessibility to the heart rate data, which I am giving them for free. Please find a solution for this!

I'm still having this problem. Has anyone heard of a fix coming out? I'm thinking we're just getting the run around from Fitbit. Wonder if anyone is interested in demanding a refund for false advertising?

Dissapointed to see this issue with my charge 2. Is it something that will be solved?! Why so long to have it fixed?

This happens for me too. It’s 4 Jan 2020 and I have a Fitbit versa and iPhone 11.
if I walk for more than 15mins, my Fitbit versa will automatically track as exercise and I can see my heart rate for the length of the walk. It tells me what zones I was in and for how long plus a graph tracking heart rate vs time throughout.
but if I record a run using the Fitbit app, I can’t see my heart rate in the stats when I’ve completed my run. I can see map, splits, calories and impact to my day. No heart rate in the exercise recorded. Fitbit versa shows heart rate on screen while running but disappointed it’s not tracked / reported in the Fitbit app like the auto detected exercise.
how can the app report calories by time but not heart rate for exercise ? It’s already possible for auto detect exercise so it doesn’t make sense why it hasn’t been turned on for exercise you record.
the app has improved somewhat in the last 12 months but overall it is poor.
please update this function soon
