Heart rate sensors not properly working - Battery drain issue

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge2 has a problem with sensors. The two little green lights’ sensors that normally are flashing, it turn out that they are lit up like a flood light, literally. This in turn drains the battery. It all started 2 days ago and today, somehow it works fine but at night it happens again. I use this for about 2 and a half years. By the ways, I try all the things that Fitbit help said (restart the Charge2, clean the device, charging the device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall, turn off unused feature) Any answers?

Hi @Ery.kras, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post, your effort trying some troubleshooting steps before to posting over here is also appreciated. To resolve the heart rate issue, I recommend you to try our restart process following the next steps:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Disconnect your tracker from the charging cable.

Once the heart rate sensors start working normally, the battery drain issue should be corrected. Otherwise, please contact me back to further investigate.

Keep me posted.

I have restarted the Fitbit multiple times and the heart rate lights are still on. I have even turn heart rate OFF under my settings. As a result, the battery is inly lasting 30 minutes or so. Should I remove the Fitbit charger 2 and add it again?

The heart rate monitor seems to be working perfectly fine. However, the green light is ALWAYS on. And most importantly, the battery only lasts 30 minutes.

I have already re started the Fitbit Charger 2 multiple times. Anything else I should try?

Thanks
Agustina
