Heart rate sensors not working - Battery drain

Got my Charge 2 April 2017 and has been amazing since the last few days. Noticed it completely died after a day even though it was fully charged today and thought it was odd. Completely charged it again and within minutes of disconnecting it, the low battery icon started flashing, and then the screen went completely black shortly after even though the green light continued flashing for a while. Green light now sporadically turning on and off. Searched the forum and tried all the little fixes, but nothing has brought the screen back to life.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this just a glitch or is it time for an upgrade? Pieces of advice greatly appreciated! ♥️

Hi @ahanuc, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the details that were shared in your post, seems odd that your Charge 2 is behaving in such way. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to restart your device following the next steps and let me know if heart rate sensors continue malfunctioning:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • For Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

I have had mine for about the same time and it worked fine until last Sunday. It wouldn’t count my run, the icon for the run, pace, heart rate, sleep and steps now disappeared. It’s acting crazy. Actually for my 5 mile run it showed I ran 0.02 miles 🙄. I have worked and tried everything with this Fitbit but I think it’s time to upgrade. My running partner has a Garmin and everyone loves them, much more accurate than the Fitbit.

Hi, my charge 2 is working fine, charges, sync, however the screen is black.  At night I can see some white snow on the display.  I have tried the reboot, updated app.  Unpaired and re-paired the device, still no luck
