Heart rate stopped working on Fitbit Charge 2. How to fix?

Anybody with. Fitbit Charge 2 that heart rate stop working?  Tried resetting/ restarting device per Fitbit phone support instructions (while in charging cradle press and hold button for 4 seconds).  Also tried 8 seconds.  Obviously that didn’t work or I would not be posting this.  Any suggestions?  All I got from Fitbit customer support was a small discount on a new device.

Same issue. Have tried everything to get it up and running. Put something in the chat previously but go no response. So basically no heartbeat means I must be dead!
