Hey @SueMomma622, I hope you are doin' fine! Since the issue persists, I have escalated your case with our Support team so they can help you out with this, so please keep an eye on your inbox, as they will try to reach you as soon as they can.
Thanks for your response @Greddy! Well, the Charge 2 uses PurePulse which is the only heart-rate technology to offer automatic, continuous wrist based tracking for all-day health insights and workout intensity. It is uniquely designed to measure heart rate all day, with always-on optical heart-rate sensors that still maintain extended battery life. Occasionally your device may have difficulty getting a strong signal. If you don't see your heart rate on your device, so first make sure you are wearing it correctly. Experiment with placing the device higher on your wrist during exercise for an improved fit and more accurate heart-rate readings. 😉
Keep me updated!

I have a charge two which is 22 months old. Now stopped displaying current heart beat in app and when I take it off in the evening for a bath, the heart beat appears at above 120 bpm when I’m not wearing it. Frustrating at best! I’ve reset it and all to no avail.

Hey @Vickytom9, it is great to see new members around! I'd like you to follow these tips in order to make your Charge 2 track your heart rate accurately:
a. Switch HR setting to off and sync.
b. Switch HR setting to Auto and sync.
c. Wait at least 60 seconds before checking heart rate again
e. Review the wearing tips in this post
f. Just in case, review the factors that could impact your heart rate readings
Let me know how it goes!

I’m having the same issue with my Alta hr. I had it in my backpack while traveling (car and plane) and it recorded heart rates for multiple trips. Last night it tracked my sleep for 2 hours after I took it off. What can I do?

Hi Fitbit
My Charge 2 has now also started recording false heart rates when I’m not wearing it - usually starting around 70bpm and then skyrocketing into the peak zone.
I’ve tried the suggested steps for resetting but it still hasn’t worked.
Help, please?

Hi- I've got exactly the same problem. My versa had been working fine, taken if off over an hour ago and just checking my app and its recording a heart rate over 140 and tracking sleep- I'm not wearing it?! I've tried re-setting by following the tips on turning auto HR off and on, then restarting the versa it but its not made a difference? Any advice?

Hi,
I have tried the steps mentioned but my Fitbit HR 2 is still showing heart rate when I don't wear it. And it jumps up to a heart rate of 150 and more so it's even counted as active minutes, and really messes with my tracking. How can I fix it?

My Charge 4 does the same thing. I can't wear my device at work, so it sits in my gym bag in the car during the day. This is what I regularly see. Not much of a response from FitBit, except to reset the device, which does nothing.

My Charge-4 would do this when in my gym bag during the work day, since I can't wear my tracker at work. I can't say that this is a fix, but I have had better luck with my Charge 4 laying on it's side. Previously, I would lay it face down on top of my gym clothes. Now I curl the strap up a little and put it in my workout shoes, on it's side. See if that helps.
