Is anyone else's working?
My device is Charge 2, app v 4.30.
It's not been working since the flurry of updates earlier in the year, just shows 0 for everything despite me doing exercise which takes me into vigourous/peak most days.

Hello @Linz16
I moved your post from the Android app forum to the Charge product help forums since the issue you are asking about is more likely related to the device and not the Fitbit Android app.
Are you having issues with heart tracking? Do you see a green light on the back of your device? That's the heart rate sensor and it should be on for your device to track your heart rate zones during your workouts.

@RiekoC No issues with heart rate tracking. It's just the heart rate zones on the app that no longer work
Personally I think it's related to the app rather than the device? As it was all working fine until the multiple app updates earlier this year?
Could anyone check to see if theirs is working please so I can narrow this down? Thanks 🙂

@Linz16 I have an idea about this, but not a definitive answer for you. The Charge 2 gives active minutes. Newer models give active zone minutes. Active minutes are reported as fat burn, cardio, and peak. Active zone minutes are reported as moderate, vigorous, and peak. The app might have changed so these graphs only apply to active zone minutes.
If you tap on the Learn more option next to Time in Heart rate zones, it still says that the formula may differ depending on your device. In the Tips to spend time in heart rate zones section, the article only mentions active zone minutes.

Thank you for your suggestion 🙂
It has been working since the app initially changed to moderate, vigorous etc. Just not for the last few months.
Would be great if someone from Fitbit could just confirm whether it actually works or not so I can make a decision to get another make of device, the app just doesn't do what I want anymore since all the changes.

@Linz16 I asked a moderator to help answer this question for you. You obviously treated your Charge 2 with TLC. Rechargeable batteries don't last forever. Your Charge 2 has listed well beyond the typical 3-6 year lifespan.

Thanks but I'm confused, what does the battery have to do with the issue on the app?
No issues with my device at all. Battery fine. The information has disappeared from the app since the 2nd or 3rd upgrade ago like with many other users. Yes I do take great care of my device so I'm pleased it is still going strong. However I've had many many issues with the app since Sept 2023 when they started the multiple updates, and that's not down to my device, everyone else is experiencing the same (see the Android App forum!) regardless of device. Not sure why my post was moved here really because my question is really about the Android app!?

@Linz16 Just trying to help and give you a compliment. The Charge 2 is an older model.

Have iOS and the time spent in zones is blank (NO DATA) for about a week. Since whatever update that was. This was the most important feature for me.

Would like to know if anyone’s is working?

I am also having this problem. I have an Alta-- the graph shows the heart rate in the different zones just fine, but total time says "No data" and also when I go into the activity it says 100% of the activity was "light" despite the fact that the graph right above it shows that it was a mix.
@LZeeW The lifespan of an electronic device is however long it works. Surely we should be using our tech as long as it works, if only for environmental reasons? So mine and OP's work, it's just that there is a bug that's not populating the heart rate zone table with the data that appears in the chart. It would be pretty egregious for Fitbit to allow a bug to persist for older models that it still allegedly supports.

@nodata2025 thank you!!! Finally someone who agrees with me! I hate the idea of our 'disposable lifestyle' and I've never been a person who has to have the newest of everything.
I look after my stuff, (although I concede that part of it is luck that my device has lasted so long!) so don't like being penalised for having an 'older' device . I stand by my comment that this issue is not device related it's the app.
Fitbit admin are reading this thread as I see above they edited someone's response, but seems they are choosing to ignore it. From that I assume they're not interested in fixing it.

Ha! That is funny. I would have kept going with Fitbit forever (have been using them from the start) but this put a bad taste in my mouth and I didn't feel like there was a reason to stay in the Fitbit ecosystem. Going well so far!

Hi @RiekoC, there's a few posts on here now confirming the issue is present across various devices.
I too have the same issue with an ALTA HR and am using the android app. I recently reinstalled the app, readded the device etc. Nothing makes any difference. On another thread or has also been shown that the zone data is calculated where exercise is logged. So clearly it can and does work in some parts of the app, just not on the whole day screen.
Can we refer this to someone in Google to confirm whether they are aware of the bug and are looking at a fix?

Hi @Jeni24
The best way to report this to the team is by using the Feedback option in the Fitbit app:
Although it's likely that you won't receive a reply, the team receives & reviews the feedback reports. I think submitting an issue through feedback will initiate a bug report or be added to an existing bug report.

Same issues, since last Sep. My charge 2 works fine with a cracked screen, shorter battery life, but it for sure works. The app is not showing all the data and has stopped syncing to Strava since… when? Last September or something? It’s basically a step counter now..

Hello @Anya68 and welcome to the Community. Your issue is completely different from this thread's topic. You I'm not sure why, but you are missing the heart rate graph that is supposed to be right below your Energy burned. Please make sure you have the current Fitbit app version. If that doesn't fix your issue, please start a new thread with a title that says you are missing your exercise details heart rate graph.
@nodata2025 Unfortunately, the lifespan of an electronic device can be as long as there is software support for it. Several years ago, I upgraded my computer's operating system, but that upgrade didn't have a printer driver for my model. I had to get a new printer.
The Charge 2 and Alta HR are both unsupported legacy devices.

Hi there, ditto on the Charge HR, also going fine since 2015. I am unable to see the HR zones also. Not sure that I ever could. Worth noting that the zones ARE displayed when using the Fitbit app on Windows 10 PC, so NOT the tracker but the app.
Happy to be proved wrong, but just another feature that does not work, and no explanation from FITBIT offered.
Cheers

@LZeeW The Charge 2 is not unsupported based on what the moderators have stated. According to the moderators in this Charge 2 thread, https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Other-Charge-Trackers/Charge-2-no-exercise-showing-on-app/td-p/56569... the team is aware of the problems and are actively working towards fixing the problems.
