I need to change my start date BACK to the day I got my Fitbit because it's now showing that I haven't lost any weight. I've tried to do this the traditional way on the app and it won't let me save it, I guess becaus the date is in the past?? Is there way of doing it on the website which I can try?

I have been trying fpr three days to do this and my start date still won't 'stick'.  I've tried both suggestions of trying it on an app and the website.  Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

@CEEJAY1407 thanks for stopping by! Check out this post by @SebringDon and he's providing a nice workaround for this. Give it a try and let me know how it goes! I'll be around Smiley Wink

Thanks Mariam,  I had tried that and it still wouldn't stick 😞  I even tried reseting my phone's date to 1 Jan and then reset my goal.  That worked for a brief period, until I changed the phone's date back to today's date.  The other weird thing is that although I changed the goal date again today.  It still reads 18 Jan.  I can't work out why there would be a dial to change the start date, if you can't actually change the start date.

@CEEJAY1407 thanks for getting back to me! I tried replicating this on my Dashboard and it did go through. Let me share with you what I did and please let me know if it works on your Dashboard too:

1. Go to your Food Log and locate your Food Plan

weight goal date changed step 0.1.png

2. Scroll all the way to the right until you find the Edit Plan option:

weight goal date changed step 0.2.png

3. Then you should have an option to edit your Weight Start Date:

Change weight goal start date 1.png

4. In my case, I changed my weight goal date to from Jan 1, 2017 to Dec 31, 2016:

Change weight goal start date 2.png

5. After that I changed my starting weight to 55 kg and clicked Save:

change weight goal start date 3.png

6. Then the change must be reflected where your old weight goal date was:

change weight goal start date 4.png

I really hope this helps! Keep me posted. Smiley Happy

Thank you again for your detailed response. I am able to do what you have recommended and have done it several times before I posted and although it allows me to change the date, the date will never stick. This happens on both my dashboard on the website and the app. It is so frustrating!!!

@CEEJAY1407 thanks for getting back to me! Well, that's pretty weird. So you're saying that your Dashboard gets stuck on the sixth step from the post above? If possible could you please post me a screenshot so that I can see what you're seeing. I'll be looking forward to your new comments! Smiley Wink

Hi Mariam,  Thank you again for your patience.  Here are the screenshots which will hopefully explain what is happening.

Step one - get into edit goal screen - which you can see I have done.Screen Shot 2017-01-31 at 15.44.32.png

Step 2 - edit goal start date to 1 Jan 17 - then I hit save.

Screen Shot 2017-01-31 at 15.45.16.png

Once I have finished the next few screens, it reverts back to the start showing the wrong date.

Aaaaaarrhhhhhh!!!!!  I have even tried new goal and that didn't work.

Thank you again.  I appreciate you sticking with me on this.

Cheers

@CEEJAY1407 thanks for getting back to me and for trying every steps I posted here. I certainly appreciate your patience about this. Thanks a million for the screenshots! Hey, this made me think that perhaps your browser is saving cookies and cache that's not letting you make the change on your weight goal date. Therefore, I suggest logging out from your Fitbit account and then I recommend clearing your browsers cookies and cache. After that, log back in to your account and then follow the steps to change the date once again. If that doesn't do it then I recommend trying with a different browser. I really do hope this helps! Keep me posted with the outcome. Smiley Happy

I was sure that suggestion was going to work!  But it didn't Smiley Sad  I offically give up.  I can't afford to waste any more time.  I have changed my date to 1 Feb and I'll just have to pretend it says 1 Jan.  Thanks a million for all your suggestions.  I really appreicate it.  Cheers

I've been trying to change my plan start date as well, and the "Edit Plan" button (as seen in screenshots above) is no longer linked to anything, and clicking it does nothing.

In fact, when viewing the page with a dev console open, clicking the button yields the following errors

In Chrome:

Uncaught TypeError: $(...).foodGoalModal is not a function
at HTMLAnchorElement.<anonymous> (log:4567)

at HTMLDivElement.eventHandle (eval at module.exports (addScript.js?5620**********************:9), <anonymous>:2875:28)

In Firefox:

@JTF195 thanks for stopping by! I tried replicating this on my Dashboard and the "Edit Plan" button is still working for me. Have you tried clearing cookies and cache? If you haven't already please do so. Thanks for including the error messages you get from the dev console. Could you attach a screenshot of what you're seeing on your Dashboard when attempting the steps above?

I'll be looking forward to your new comments!

Well, this is what it looks like:

Only, clicking the button does nothing

I've tried Chrome 60, Firefox 55, and Edge 40 on my PC
Chrome 60 and Firefox 53 on my Ubuntu laptop
Chrome 60, Firefox 55, and Safari 10.1.1 on my Mac

and Chrome on my Android phone

Of all those browsers/device combinations, the ONLY one that worked was Safari.

Thanks for trying all the browsers you listed. This definitely sounds a bit weird. Have you checked proxy settings or permissions blocked. Do let me know!
