That worked. Not sure if the set up changed on the website, but it is similar. I went to the food plan (plan summary) and scrolled sideways, when you get to the part where it says to edit plan, under the daily calorie goal, you can set the date and the starting weight.

I cannot tell you how long I have been looking for this solution and it worked! I have had a fitbit account for over six years and throughout the years wanted to start fresh. I actually deleted all my history once to get to a new start date. It should not have taken this long to find this solution; it should have been easier to find in the application.

Hi I did this and it changed right back to today’s date when I accepted it. It won’t keep the date I chnage it to.

This workaround used to work - Now refuses to let me change the start date

Well that is convoluted as hell, but it works. You would think it would be a little less burred than that.
Thanks!

On the website, not the app, select FOOD, then in the second box on the left FOOD SUMMARY, swipe left three times until you see FOOD PLAN. Then you will see the options to EDIT PLAN: change start date, start weight and plan intensity (harder for more weight loss). Worth finding it to adjust your plan and motivate you.

I just spoke with FitBit chat assistance on how to fix this via the internet. (I used a computer.)
1. Go to this link https://www.fitbit.com/weight?period=days
2. On top of the graph, is a date range. Select it
3. Pick the start date you wanted that has a weight logged
4. Select the end date as the current date
5. Scroll down - and the "Goal Progress" will have changed. If it didn't, add a new weight to today's weight log.
This of course is subject to change with time, if this doesn't work at the time you try it, please contact chat support.
