And apologies if they have been answered in previous topics.
I received my Fitbit on Monday - Charged it etc, downloaded App and then synced ( I'm on Huawei Mate 20 Pro ) It found the charge 3 straight away and then asked to add the tracking number - the watch produced the number - but then once uploaded onto the app it can't find the watch again.
However once back in the app it says it has found the watch, but the watch still just shows the Fitbit setup page.
The App then says the watch needs up dating but it will not sync ( it starts to, but shows an exclamation mark ) and after a while the app times out.
I've reset phone turned bluetooth off and on again relaunched app - deleted app - started the charge 3 as a new watch all to no avail.
I generally think I'm reasonably savvy with tech -but I just can't get the thing to work.
to add insult to injury Fitbit won't warranty ( If there's a problem) as I bought (unwittingly) from an unauthorised dealer - the fact that you can find Fitbit's everywhere at all kinds of places would suggest that Fitbit is quite happy with unauthorised dealers .
I would much rather get the thing to work anyway, so if anyone could give me a tip or something i'm missing i'd appreciate the tips!
All the best
Matt

If on android the best way I find to update the firmware is to move the Fitbit app to the background.
As for pairing through the phones Bluetooth, a user can not do this.

Thanks for this Rich, when you say move the app to the background, what exactly do you mean?
Many thanks

Tap the home button or bring up a different app.
I find if the Fitbit app is in front, the update fails when the screen turns off.
