Hourly activity on tracker and app don't match

In a number of instances in which I complete by hourly 250 steps near the end of the hour, this does not sync correspondingly with the info recorded on the app.  for example, my fitbit 2 says I've completed three of three hours of 250 steps so far today.  My iphone app shows only the second two hours completed, and shows the first hour incomplete.  Why is this happening, and how can it be corrected?

Welcome to the forums @fit-bitsnit, it's nice to see new members around! Thanks for reporting this. Our engineers are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible.

We're sorry for any inconvenience it's caused as this has been an issue that is affecting some Charge 2 users.

Let me know if there's anything I may do to assist you in the meantime! Smiley Wink

will the engineers fix so that it is retrospective not just prospective, i.e., so that all hours preserved before fix get recorded?

But don't hold your breath.  This has been an ongoing issue for many months, at least.

My observation is that it seems to be that the Fitbit runs slow, but then corrects itself when it syncs, so when your steps are near the end of the hour, your Fitbit and phone disagree on which hour the steps belong to.  I kept running into the same issue of time running slow on the Charge HR but it wasn't as noticeable because it didn't have the steps per hour feature.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I was thinking the same thing but when I go into the step log it is showing enough steps for the hour in both the app and on the Fitbit site.  For example today it is showing me only 2 of 4, including the current hour 10 to 11, while my Charge 2 is showing 4 of 4.  When I go into the step detail on the App it is showing 149 steps from 10 to 10:15 and 128 from 10:30 to 1045 for a total of 277.  I just can't figure it out, and I am not holding my breath. Like you said it has been months.

I'm having a similar problem.  Have had Charge 2 for about three weeks and hourly activity had been doing just great.  The last two days, however, the iPhone app never gets the fact I've completed all 12 hours.  Charge 2 says I completed 12 of 12 hours but the app shows the last hour, 4 - 5 pm as incomplete.  I show 268 steps between 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM ON 6/30 and a total of 257 steps between 4 and 5 PM on 6/29. Any idea when this fix will be pushed out?
