My grandson borrowed my Fitbit Charge 3 yesterday and now the screen shows very faintly, is there some way of brightening the screen?

Accepted Solutions

From clock face, swipe left until get to 'Settings'; tap that; at the top is 'Brightness': dim, normal, or auto.  I use auto to have it adjust with light sensor.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I have the brightness on the highest level but it is impossible to see the screen when outside. Is there something that can be done to correct this?

Best Answer

Think I saw auto but it was too faint now just total black screen

Best Answer

I have the exact same problem. I hit the auto and my screen went blank.

Now I made the screen black. Think when I swiped and hit auto it stopped completely.

I tried this. And now I have no dispay at all. Is there a way to reset my device? It’s been so dim I can’t see it most of the time. And now it doesn’t light up at all

I have set mine on both auto and normal but it is still i.possi le to read in the sunlight. Ha e to go under a tree to see it. Also the screen time is too short to try to squint at and than it goes out. Can screen time be increase lime the versa? I know it will impact battery life but its no good if I cant read it while on a walk. I ha e heart issues and I need to keep my heart rate under my peak.

I discovered when I called London Drugs with my extended warranty that there was an in store warranty of 1 year.
If you have had it under a year go back to the store and get it replaced. I did and it is darker screen than when I first bought it.

What if you cannot see it enough to find the screen you need to be on

Best Answer

This is my problem as well I cannot see my screen to adjust the settings. My charge three is fully charged any help is appreciated

I did finally get to settings only by guessing.  The problem is when it has gone to dim (on its own), you can barely read any of the screens!!  There should be a better way to brighten by way of your Smartphone.

Best Answer

So then it is finished? I cannot see my screen at all

A bright screen can suck a lot of energy out of a touchscreen Fitbit (such as a Versa, Charge 3, or Ionic). On your device's screen, swipe left until you find “Settings.” Select that. Scroll to “Brightness.” Tap that button to cycle through brightness levels.
