How do I change the time on a Charge 3?

Yesterday my charge 3 just stopped working for a while. I had to Google how to get the face turned it back on and get it to start working again. Now I cannot get the time corrected as it lost several minutes. Does anybody know how to change the time on a Fitbit charge 3?

Hi @joyrun, welcome to the community.

The time on your Charge 3 should be determined by your phone, or whatever device its syncing to.

If you go to the fitbit app on your phone and do the following, it should hopefully use the correct time.

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon User-added image
  2. Scroll down to advanced settings and tap on it.
  3. Make sure automatic time zone (use network time) is on.
  4. Then sync your Charge 3

Welcome to the Community, @Shelster1973.

Regarding your inquiry, to change your timezone to 24 hrs, do the following:

  1. From the fitbit.com dashboard, click the gear icon

     > Settings > Personal Info.
  2. Under Advanced Settings, find Clock Display Time and select whether you want the time shown in 12-hour or 24-hour clock units.
  3. Click Submit and sync your device.

Let me know if you need anything else. 🙂

I followed instruction to change the time—now How do I sync Fitbit to device with the app?

You can't set the time because Fitbit is a piece of #$%$. Even the heart rate is not accurate.

I wanted to know how to change the 12/24hr settings on Versa2 with Alexa?

Its alot of money for not much more than a basic non branded one of ebay!

Battery doesnt last as long as I thought as well.

I am trying to reset the time and date on my Charge 3 Fitbit. I've turned on the automatic time set and then sync the fitbit. However, I get a red circles exclamation signal after syncing.

The solution didn't work for me at all.

It seems that when I get up in the middle of the night for a couple of hours, the fitbit charge 3 gets all confused!

syncing with phone did not correct it.
