Does anyone know how to receive SMS text notifications on a Charge 2 tracker from a Moto G7 power mobile phone?
My phone has the Fitbit app which syncs with the tracker but I'm unable to get the vibrating notification on my tracker when I receive text messages.

Let's look at the help files @Supergrot
How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

Hi Rich, thanks for your help. I've tried the advice you suggested but still no joy. I'm not sure if my Fitbit Charge 2 tracker is able to pair with my new Motorola G7 power mobile phone? When I tried pairing it via Bluetooth, I received a message saying "incorrect passkey or code" and my phone wouldn't allow me to pair tracker. Any further advice please.....? Many thanks. Gretel

Your correct @Supergrot you're tracker with Low Energy Bluetooth will not be able to be paired by using the bluetooth menu. Or will be rejected every time.
Pairing is done by the Fitbit App ans usually happens after notifications age set up, along with offline permissions approved

Hi
I have the same problem with my G7, the charge 2 syncs fine but the test call notification doesn't work so am not receiving calls or MSG's, it's giving me such a headache lol
Everything has been enabled, I have shut down and restarted/reinstalled/reset everything possible and am at my wit's end...am I missing something? The charge 2 is not on my Bluetooth list of devices like it was on my old old Samsung so any help appreciated
Cheers
Mm

Hi, I see that you have replied to a post I wrote some time ago, about receiving text notifications on my Motorola phone. I've been told that my phone is not compatible with Fitbit Charge 2 which is why I don't get the notifications. Weird, because it works fine for everything else. But maybe you have the same issue with your G7 not being compatible? It's a real pain, you'd think that Fitbit could find some way around the problem.

@Supergrot you say that it works for everything else. Does this everything include connected GPS during a recorded activity? The connected GPS uses notification services.
Do you have your power management handling the Fitbit app? If so you need to disable this so the phone doesn't put Fitbit to sleep. A sleeping app can not send notifications.

Hi Jonty
thanks for that info...its what I had guessed with the continual going round in circles but not actually saying that from the correspondence I had with them too...I returned the phone which was a shame but needed the full functionalities and was worried if I got a new fitbit that wouldn't be compatible either 😞

No problem to be honest I'm disgusted by it as I don't see a valid reason other than laziness on fitbit part as it works as well as any other andriod phone I've had, probably one the best phones I've owned. I got my charge 2 bought as a gift at Xmas and im raging about it as I wear mine for the tracking as my smartwatch is poor for distance tracking and a lot of times I wear an ordinary watch, I like my watches so I wear fitbit on other arm so was handy being able to turn notifications on for when I I've a normal watch on so I could be alerted, disappointing can't see them fixing it anytime soon
