Hi,
i have abs gone through your methods however, there is no sign on my Fitbit of the charging symbol that usually comes up when you charge it. This has happened before but it has automatically turned on but this has been going on a week now. Any advice?

Well, I'm back again. Two months ago, I submitted a question because the display was getting dimmer and dimmer and nothing worked to refresh it. Fitbit sent me a replacement and I was very pleased....till today when somehow the tracker changed from steps to calories. I've tried everything to switch it back - tried to restart it by attaching it to the computer (I hold the button down for 10 seconds and the screen goes dark - never get the smile and vibration). I've changed the clock face and tried the "Settings" reboot several times (I select the check mark but it doesn't reboot). Help!!!!!

NONE of this has worked for me. I’ve tried resetting by pushing those two dots on the charger, plugging it in and making sure it’s secure - then holding button until smile shows up, (around 8 secs). This past Sat my Fitbit Charge 3 suddenly started Losing power for no apparent reason and vibrating randomly on my wrist. I reset it and that didn’t work. I charged it overnight (again!), since I’d also charged it Fri night, and it normally holds a charge for 5-6 days. I charged it Sun night, and same thing yesterday, plus now the clock is not working properly. I just did the whole process again twice. I did nothing Saturday that was out of my usual activity. Pls advise! Thank you!

There is a physical button. It’s on the left side of the case. I use mine all the time to “go back” to “main” “clock” screen.

Hold the button down...THERE IS NO BUTTON. I am so frustrated; I should have just purchased another Charge 2!

Connected charge to USB, pressed button for 8 second, it appeared to do some kind of reboot with a reboot line, then got smiley face and vibration, then the screen went blank

The button is on the left side of the face on the Fitbit, it looks like an indention more like a slot. Hope this helps! 😊

This does not work, I can't press the home button while the fit bit is charging. It is not responding when I press it.

I can't get my finger in to press the button, it doesn't respond when I try to press it. It is such an awkward shape and hard to press

I have had my Charge 3 for 10 months and have been able to restart/reboot several times in the past, but today the screen will not come on as of this afternoon (was working fine up to an hour or so ago). I have tried several times of attaching to the plugged in charging cord, holding the side button and I get a buzz like it's doing something, but the smile doesn't come on as if rebooting. It still syncs with my phone app and when I take it off I still see the green lights flashing looking for skin contact. Not sure what to do now.

Thank you. Just tried to reset using your suggestion but not sure if anything happened. There are no flashing lights at all.

Go to the app on your phone. Change the clock face to a different one. See if that does it.

All sorts of syncing issues recently made me think this was such a poor purchase . But i've persevered having reset iphone reset blue tooth forget device and refound on blue tooth it went on and on. Initially wasted ages trying to reset as first advice didn't mention having to plug it in to the charger, thats the problem with forums.
Anyway finally reset charge 3 and now happily all working again, should I invoice Fitbit for 3 hours of my time - lets hope they read all these complaints and test run their updates in future otherwise I'm sure lots of Fitbits will hit the bin along with their good name.
