How do I turn off my alarm?

I've tried several of the suggestions to stop the snooze without disabling the alarm setting altogether but I'm not having any success. Please provide specific details.

It's great to see you here, @kmvana. Which method are you trying to turn off the alarm? I turn off mine by just pressing the home button.

I press the Home button and it still snoozes two times before it stops.
