A warm welcome to our Fitbit Community family @tcnaper!
This is an excellent questions, to activate the All-day Sync option in your mobile device, please go to the Fitbit application, tap on the account tile and select your tracker's name, once you're there, scroll all the way down and toggle All-day sync, please check the pictures below:
Hope this helps, let me know if you have questions.

I do this but I don't even see the option to turn on all day sync on my versa lite. It literally isn't there. What do I do?

I don’t have an All Day Sync option on my app! It just isn’t there. More do I have that pink update button. Got my charge 4 24 hours ago and feel like it’s missing things!

The option to turn on All Day Sync is gone from the app.
How does one enable All Day Sync now or is it automatically enabled?
Hi Marlen - this string requires attention. Several users with the same issue and your Solution is no longer valid as the options you show in your screenshot are gone.

I simply cannot find the all day sync option in my Fitbit versa. I have looked and looked within the mobile app. How to find?

The "all day sync" option has been removed from the app. It is now on by default and cannot be turned off. Fitbit say:
"To improve your experience with notifications, syncing, and firmware updates, we removed the option to turn off all-day sync from the Fitbit app. When your phone is near your Fitbit device with Bluetooth turned on, it periodically syncs with the Fitbit app to update your stats and download available firmware updates. More frequent syncing rarely, if ever, noticeably decreases your device’s battery life."

That stinks! Put it back! It should be our choice to use or not, not yours. I just got the new fitbit charge 4 and it is terrible. I may return it as I've had nothing but trouble. I just want to use it and have it work properly. 😞

Though one post said it syncs all day, mine does not. I have to open it, and manually start the sync. It’s so frustrating!

I do not have the option to turn on all day sync. Only sync now.

Mine is the same. I constantly have to update it through the day as it's not syncing by itself... very frustrating, when u want see your sleep quality and exercise impact..

No longer valid as 'all day sync' is now default. However..... Its not, having to open app to sync
