Had my Garmin for over 3 years. No problems. Had fitbit for 3 months and blank face...can't get it to reset after 15 seconds held on charger. Nothing.  😞 Any other options ?

I have tried all of this and do not get a smiley face or a battery back.

Same here. Followed instructions and no luck. Seems to be a common complaint.  Is the only solution a new device? If so can I link it to current account and stats?

I’m having this issue as well and I’ve tried this and nothing. There was no smiley face. It’s still collecting my data but the screen is black and it won’t light up.

I'd like an answer to that question myself. Can you link stats?

Mine too ! I can't change clock face and have contacted customer support.

@Martic It's great to see you around.

I was able to see that you have received assistance on this thread. For your question, you can setup a new Fitbit device to your existing Fitbit account. By doing this, all your old Fitbit data should remain.

@Hackedoff332 I apologize since I didn't answer your question before. But this information also applies for your question. For more information about the setup process, please check: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Absolutely nothing is happening when I follow these directions.  My screen was very dim and I was trying to make it brighter.  I went to setting and hit brightness and the watch went blank.  Very disgusted with my Charge 3.  Please help.

Exactly the same with me. First one a year after purchased screen kept fading. This one just out of warranty screen blank. Customer service went through everything with me to get it to work but nothing. ……. They offering me a 30% discount. Leaving Fitbit and going with Apple, at least their products last.

It's been 2 years since your post, so who knows if you'll see this, but please tell me why you chose Fitbit if your Garmin was working well. I've had 2 fitbits and each one has had quirks and issues, including the current 'blank screen' issue that is in this thread. I was thinking about going to Garmin. I just want a low maintenance tracker that is accurate, but not too complex-- that WORKS after a year, without glitches or dim screens or random and inconsistent actions within the interface. EHH!
