My first one died after a year of use & was replaced under warranty...2nd one lasted under 2 years. Just wondering if this is average for other users & wondering if I need to switch to another company if I have to go through all this trouble.

With my first one, I had exactly the same experience. It died within the first year and therefore was replaced under warranty. I have had the second one for less than a year and it's starting to have issues: screen gets blocked and having synchronization problems.

Slightly better luck so far. I had a Charge 2 for a couple years also. My first Charge 3 got the white lines at 11 months and was warranty replaced. My current Charge 3 is (not saying this out loud...) a little over a year old and is working just fine. I've been looking at the Charge 4, or maybe the Sense as replacements, if and when.

Got my first Charge 3 in January 2019. It died 5 months later in June 2019 (would not charge or restart). Fitbit sent me a replacement free of charge. That one lasted 10 months, dying in April 2020 (became hot to the touch). Again, Fitbit replaced it free of charge. My current Charge 3 started acting up about a week ago (couldn’t find my heart rate, then needed charging nearly every day, next started pulsing really fast) and died on me yesterday. This one lasted almost 10 months. I’ll call Fitbit Support and see what they gave to say. Honestly, though, I think it’s time I switch brands.

My Charge 3 won't link up to its charger anymore. Cleaned the contacts with 99% isopropanol? Yes. No poking into the little hole on the side? No poking! Unpaired it, delete user info, and reset the fitbit? Yep. Different linear USB power supplies? Yep. Use my spare charging cable? Yep. My Charge syncs normally; however, it refuses to recharge. I'm down to 64%... 63... 62... Dammit. ☠️
