I am currently in an area where there is no wifi connection so my phone does not allow me to connect to Fitbit. It would appear that only data from the most recent 6 walks is held on the device and transferred to the phone when wifi connection becomes available. Is this correct or is it on a 48 or 72 hour limit?
Secondly, what is the trigger to start a walk data being collected, how long a pause in walking before the data stops and what is minimum length of time for walk to be registered or is it minimum number of paces?

Hi @grumpyinkl, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums, welcome back!
I appreciate the information that was shared in your post. Let me share with you that. Let me share with you that most Fitbit devices record detailed minute-by-minute data for 7 days. Our devices can store daily totals for up to 30 days. Please keep in mind that you can also use mobile data to sync your Fitbit in case you're in an area where there's no WiFi connections available.
If you're using our auto-recognition exercise SmartTrack feature to track your exercise, your Charge 2 device automatically recognize and record high-movement activities (such as a walk, run, or swim) at least 15 minutes long through the SmartTrack feature, therefore, if you stop within the time-frame previously mentioned, the device will not recognize the activity.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
