How to change the time on my Fitbit Charge 2

the time is wrong on my fitbit charger two.  How do I fix it to the right time?

I have the same issue with my charge 2.

It was fine last night when I woke up the time was 5 hours behind.

I'll try the fix and hopefully it will work.

My tracker also will not sync spent 45 minutes on the phone with fitbit support and they could not come up with a solution. It stopped charging on May 2nd. I have tried all possible solutions now have to decide if i want to upgrade for 50% off or just get a complimentary new one.

Thanks very much for your expertly well-reasoned explanation and solution to this problem. It's just a shame that the reply doesn't come directly from the Company that creates the problem in the first place. They are probably too busy congratulating themselves on the hardware they make that works nearly perfectly. What a shame they cannot supply a proper support department rather than relying on forum users. Will certainly prevent me buying any more of their overpriced offerings. PLEASE NOTE Mr Moderator.

When I was traveling to different time zones, I also had this problem.  On the app, go to your user profile, then to edit user profile.  Change your city to wherever you currently are then press done.  Your fitbit automatically changes to your current location's time zone.

The tome will be updated during the next sync @pas51, my suggestion would be to open the Fitbit soft2are and force a sync.

Hi @pas51 it is a pleasure to have you here with us in the Community.

I'll be happy to provide the instructions to change the Time of your device:  

1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon ().
2. Tap Advanced Settings.
3. Under Time Zone, turn off the Set Automatically option.
4. Tap Time Zone and select the correct time zone.
5. Sync your tracker.

I had the same issue with my Charge 2 when I changed timezones and carriers on my phone. Here is what worked for me:

1. Open Fitbit App
2. Tap Account tab
3. Scroll to Settings and tap Advanced Settings
4. Make sure both Automatic time zone and Automatic location are turned on
5. Return to Account tab and scroll up
6. Tap your device icon and then tap Sync Now

This worked first try for me and fixed the time issue that had been bothering me for 3 days.

I recently traveled from a country to another, and the time difference between them are 5 hours. I set the new time zone on my phone but the one on my Charge 2 wouldn't change, I tried couple of methods from fitbit community but they didn't work, syncing doesn't solve the problem.

I then figured it out that the issue is from the app not the Charge 2, because the syncing time and sleep stages are all set to the old time zone.

👉🏻 Therefore, the solution for this problem is simply by deleting the app on your phone then install it again, then  re-link your Charge 2 to the app and that will solve it.
