Has anyone experienced condensation on the inside of the charge 2? What can I do about this?

I don't know how this happened. I did not wear it in the shower, it did not get wet, nor was it in the bathroom when I was taking a shower. I know better to do any of that. I already contacted Fitbit support and they are WONDERFUL! They are sending me a replacement!

@goofymom2105 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! How did this happen? Did you shower with your tracker or had it inside the bathroom while showering? Did it get wet? Is it still working fine? You can try drying it by submerging it in a bowl of rice for 48 hours, you can also try using silica gel packs instead of rice but the first option is the suggested method for this issue.
Let me know how it goes!

@Sarh77 A warm welcome to our Community! Sorry to hear about your experience with Support. I know they usually send a link that you can use to process your own replacement tracker are you sure this was a purchase one (maybe the one they use for discounts offered). What did the page says. I would suggest you reply to them and explain them that you haven't washed your tracker. They are the ones who make the decision of replacing a device or not but they should have all the information before making a decision.
Keep me posted on the results!

Mine also has condensation on the screen, it has not been near any water, tried putting it in a bowl of rice for 2 days, didn't work, and now it's stuck on the notification screen..... any ideas to resolve this?

This is exactly how mine looks. I haven't submerged it at all. I soaked it in rice overnight but maybe that wasn't long enough. And now it doesn't hold a charge. It's so frustrating!

Are you under warranty? I've had issues with condensation for a week. I've put it in rice, quinoa, and oatmeal and nothing worked. My tracker also doesn't display heart rate. I went on the support line and chat 3 times and they couldn't help me. I'm so frustrated because I kept such good care of my Fitbit and it's beyond its year warranty so they could do nothing except tell me to buy a new one. I am very frustrated. These are a lot of money.

After replacing 4 charge HR that failed within 14 months (bad band issue) I purchased the charge 2 as it appeared that they fixed the problem with new band design. Sadly it failed at 13 months due to condensation inside the device. Best Fitbit offered was 25 % off the purchase of a new one. Would not cover under warranty.
From my experience, as long as their devices get past the 12 month mark, they don't care or stand behind the product. Buyer beware.
Will never buy another Fitbit product again.

This looks exactly like the condensation in mine. Began shortly after I started working out more regularly. The fitbit has never gotten wet. Now the HR monitor does not work. Is this a fault in my Charge 2 HR or a design issue? My whole point with the Charge 2 was not monitor my HR during exercise! I've had the fitbit for 1.5 years. I'd replace it, but if it is just going to get condensation again what is the point?

Exactly my experience. I went through 2 Charge HRs where the band bubbled. Got a Charge 2, and 15 months later, condensation that ended up killing it. It never went near water, and they want me to buy a new one with a 25% discount.
I loved my fitbits, but I can't imagine spending all that money just to get a device for 12-15 months.

@KevinPh Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry to hear about your damaged Charge 2 and for the delay in my reply. Support follows the guidelines in the warranty so if your device is outside the Warranty period they won't be able to replace your tracker. Still this is why they offer a discount in some cases, to help users in this situation. It is up to you if you wish to use the discount or not. @goofymom2105 really happy to hear that you got your tracker replaced by support

I have the same condensation issue and this is on their replacement that they sent. I took it out of the box and used it normally. Fitbit gave me discount options and said warranty is not covered since my old fitbit was setup in 2015 and the replacement they sent because of broken belt was defective. Not happy with the resolution.

@asingh59 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry to hear that your tracker isn't working and for the delay in my reply. Support will review your tracker's warrant and provide a replacement if it is still within the warranty period. Still they offer some options when they can so this is why they offered you a discount.

This sure looks familiar! It seems that my Charge 2's seal has given up the ghost after about two years. Sweat was just too much for it, perhaps? Really pisses me off considering how much these things cost. I would expect it to least at least as long as a watch.
I used an aftermarket band immediately with this thing, as the factory band is horrible for tearing the hairs out of my arm. And then, yesterday, the unit just fogs up and glitches out. It showed this morning as dead battery, so I put it on the charger. As of this writing, I can't get the screen to turn on, but the unit itself feels like it is about 130 degrees - almost too hot to touch. It is dead as a doornail, though.
