How to get my Charge 2 to track my steps will using a treadmill desk

Hello

I slow walk on my treadmill and after 10-20 minutes of walking, the charge 2 barely records 5-10 steps. What can I do to get more accurate data?

If you are holding hand rails, keeping wrist steady, that prevents Fitbit from detecting steps from the normal swinging of your arms.  But calorie burn will still be measured from your heart rate.

If you are more concerned about step count, you move tracker off your wrist, perhaps in a pocket to get better step count, but lose heart rate data.

Or if you can hold on with just the non-Fitbit arm, then get steps and heart rate data.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I'm working while using the treadmill, so there will be no movement on my arms. However, I even strapped it to my ankle and it didn't measure any steps (5 steps over 10 minutes of walking!)
