How to get my display back to normal after the workout summary?

ANSWERED

After I finish an exercise session and push the button to end the recording...I'm having trouble getting the dispay back to normal.  Currently I just need to leave it alone for an undetermined time to be able to see the usual display.

Is there some method to end an exercise recording session and then get back to normal...I'm just ending the session using the button.

@ebble, after you end the exercise workout, press & hold the side button until the tracker vibrates. That stops the exercise mode, and begins displaying the stats from the tracked exercise. Press & release the side button to scroll through all of the stats, and then continue to press & release the side button until the clock display is shown.

It's nice to see you around the Community @ebbleSmiley Very Happy When you’re done with your workout, press and hold the button to stop recording. You’ll see a flag icon and a congratulatory message.

Press the button to see a summary of your results. With each button press you’ll cycle to a different set of stats until the last one, when you stop to the last one the next time you press the button you'll get your display back to normal.

I have tested mine and not trouble with that! Woman Very Happy

I used to be able to see the data after my workouts, but I can't get them to display anymore. Do I have to reset something on the app. if there a time delay as to when I should be pressing the button?

Morninggggg @Mermi3, it's nice to see you here! Smiley Wink This happened to my tracker over a month ago, but I restarted my tracker 3 times in a row and the issue was solved.

PD: Always make sure that your Fitbit app is up-to-date so all your data can be transferred correctly after syncing. Running old version might cause discrepancies on your information. Cat Very Happy

I get to the normal display, that's the problem. I want to see my distance,
heart rate of the exercise, etc.

To update as you suggested, how do I do that?
Best Answer

Have you tried the restart I suggested @Mermi3? I had this issue before and by doing the following I fixed it:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display. Your Charge 2 will begin charging.
  4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for four seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, this means the tracker has restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Do this process 3 times in a row. Smiley Very Happy

Now, if you want to check your Fitbit app and update it if requires so, to see what version of the Fitbit app is installed on your device:

  1. Tap the menu button.
  2. Tap Help.
  3. Tap Fitbit App.

To update the Fitbit app:

  1. Open the Google Play store on your device.
  2. Tap the menu button.
  3. Tap My Apps and choose the Fitbit app.
  4. Tap Update. If you want automatic updates in the future, check the Allow automatic updating box.

Let me know how the restart go!

@Mermi3 tapping the screen or the button doesnt scroll through the stats for you?

Best Answer
No, It just resets to the display screen.
omg. I think I just figured out what I was doing..... I would choose my
exercise, then press again for stopwatch. I thought the stopwatch was for
the exercise, but I believe , it is a stopwatch, which I didn't know I
had........ Wow

This happened to me as well, thought the stopwatch was going to give me some stats, but it won't. The only way to get a summary of your workouts is when using the Exercise mode.

To change or re-order exercises on your tracker, choose a section below:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon.
  2. Tap your tracker tile.
  3. Tap Exercise Shortcuts.
  4. To add a new shortcut, tap the + icon and select an exercise.
  5. To remove a shortcut, swipe left on an exercise name.

And now, to use your exercise mode:

  1. On your tracker, press the button until you get to the Exercise screen.
  2. Tap to find the exercise of your choice.
  3. Press and hold the button to start the exercise. If you see a phone icon at the top, that exercise offers connected GPS and your device is connected to a GPS signal. If the phone icon has a line through it that means your tracker is not connected to your phone or your phone is not connected to a GPS signal. If the phone icon has an animated dashed line next to it, that means your device is trying to find a GPS signal.
  4. During your workout, tap your tracker to scroll through your real-time stats or check the time of day.
  5. To pause your workout, press the button. Then press the button again to resume the exercise.
  6. When you’re done with your workout, press and hold the button to stop recording. You’ll see a flag icon and a congratulatory message.
  7. Press the button to see a summary of your results.

Syncing your tracker stores the workout in your exercise history. There you can find additional stats and see your route if you used connected GPS.

Have a great day @Mermi3!

I too am having difficulty getting my fitbit back to usual display (watch). First off, which "button" do you press an hold?  If it is the one on the left of the screen, all it does it take me to "Screen Awake"/"Notifications" screen.  It does not go back to the clock screen.  Maybe it needs to set for longer than 15 minutes.

To her out of the exercise tracking

Tap the pause icon in the lower right corner or tap the lower right button

Next tap the fish flag in the top right or the top right button

You can view the results.

Now tap the left button.

I can't really take a pic of it.It displays after pushing the button on the left side.It displays for about 30 some seconds, then goes away.Does this 'charge 2' model NEED a phone to display anything? I have a mobile phone with android.I have a non reliable wifi network somewhere around this area. Can I download this fitbit app to my windows 10 computer, then have it connect via bluetooth to my fitbit? Can't seem to find any answers to this question.Do I HAVE to use a phone to get this to work? That's my main question.

If you have a laptop or computer...you can use a USB dongle to upload your data to the website for viewing.  You can then set up WHAT your Charge 2 displays.  I think you need to buy the dongle for use with your computer. Or...if your computer supports bluetooth...you can link with that?

Or..you can link your Android phone to your Charge 2 and do the same thing there using bluetooth?  I also have an android phone...but use a computer to update data to the website.

You are not getting full advantage from your Charge 2 if you don't link it with either the website or your phone....much useful info is available.
