After I finish an exercise session and push the button to end the recording...I'm having trouble getting the dispay back to normal. Currently I just need to leave it alone for an undetermined time to be able to see the usual display.
Is there some method to end an exercise recording session and then get back to normal...I'm just ending the session using the button.

Ya.Thanks.I got it to connect with the app on my phone.I do have bluetooth enabled on my pc.Can't seem to get my fitbit app on my pc though.Would like to use this instead of going on my phone. Also,I've somehow 'reset' my time(clock)to something different than it was at the first startup. The time is not correct.I've gone into the phone app and tried to 'reset'(synch?)the time.It isn't resetting to the current time for me.I set the timezone and all for my area through the phone app,but it won't reset it.Is this the 'synch' function it shows on my phone app?I clicked on the 'profile pic' on there,it tried synching but failed. Can't I do this through my pc?I'd rather use that than the phone.Wifi here is pretty weak. That may be why it's not resetting? But the bluetooth on my pc should allow that, right? Thanks so much for your help.

As far as the Fitbit PC app....I have an old version which works for me thru the dongle...though it occasionally wants to update to bluetooth. My computer doesn't do bluetooth. The dongle uses WiFi or maybe bluetooth(?)...but it is direct from the Fitbit to the dongle...no WiFi or computer bluetooth system needed. I think you can still find the PC Fitbit app somewhere...you install it like any program...installs an icon...right click and use it.
Fitbit is trying to move to the phone it seems....?
If you can find the PC app and have PC bluetooth...you should be able to get it to work? You then can set options as to how you want your Fitbit to display and so forth....I think the date and time is derived from your computer?
Don't count on what I'm saying here (I didn't design the system...just use it)...the dongle to the Fitbit works for me...I like the PC graphs...though there is more data on the bluetooth version which I have seen.

@ebble your dongle is a Bluetooth dongle, but if you computer already had Bluetooth you do not need the dongle.
