How to mark or label that you were injured for a week

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Is there a way to mark that you were injured for a specific week, hence your fitness goals were reduced during the recovery period?  For long term fitness tracking it would be extremely useful to determine patterns where you were over-exerting yourself and becoming prone to injury.  As you get older injuries take much longer time to heal.  Tracking and avoiding injuries would be and extremely useful feature, especially for older clients trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle.  Doing this and remaining injury free is a major challenge.  Linking deep sleep patterns during the injury recovery period is also very useful information.

@Valzarius Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Currently there is no way to label a period of time as recovery from an injury but like @WendyB said you can share your idea in our Feature suggestion board. I found this idea about Injury Mode so feel free to check it and vote for it.

Let me know how it goes!

I damaged my leg end of January and remain unable to walk properly let alone run. Active minutes is not an appropriate measure of my current situation, it would be good to flag injured, unwell status in the same way we track sleep or food

@Jennynz It's nice to have you on board!

Sorry for the delay in my reply and to hear about your injury. These details do help improve the usage of your Fitbit account and tracker. As mentioned before you can not only vote for ideas but share how you would like for it to be implemented or improved so please check the idea and share your thoughts there.

I'll be around.

I’ve asked about this before.

It appears to fall onto deaf ears.

I sustained a head injury 4 weeks ago and have been told to take it very easy. Constantly being reminded to do more is seriously annoying as doing too much results in problems with both my blood pressure and how much energy I have the next day. Push yourself a bit was the advice , but don’t overdo it.

I’d have thought that any device that seeks to record and promote fitness should take account of temporary restrictions on physical activity.

What a wealth of data might have been missed during the pandemic through not being able to track recovery from Covid-19
