Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for how I might secure a Charge 3 to my dog's collar so that I can get a visualisation of where she's run?
I typically walk around four miles. She always runs considerably further than I walk as she is off lead for a majority of the time and loves to run and run (and run!); I'm curious to find out just how far she's roamed, and where she's been having the time of her life!
The fixing would need to be pretty robust as she leaps over ditches and crashes through undergrowth: see rona.cockerpoo on Instagram.

Charge 3 does not have built-in GPS to see her route. You would have to have it connected to phone's GPS, and stay within bluetooth range (about 30 ft), though it would still interesting to try.
Charge 4 does have built-on GPS.

Thanks for that insight Johnny!
We had a trial walk/run yesterday afternoon with enlightening results ....

Based on this experience I've decided that I shan't buy a Fitbit for the time being. Perhaps when I can afford to indulge myself and buy one that more accurately plots her escapades, I'll have another go!

With your Charge 3 using your phones GPS on the dog, the path should be where your phone went, not where your dog traveled.
