The time on my Fitbit Charge HR is wrong. How do I set it? I see nothing in app as to how to do this. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @Jenlyn1969  the date and time is determined by the device you use to sync. If it's a cell phone or computer, your Charge HR gets the time from it.

This doesn't make sense because my phone's time at the moment is 9:31PM (Eastern time), and my FitBit says it's 1:32 - don't know if that's AM or PM, BTW it doesn't say.  The phone I synced it with is fine-- a new phone I got in January.  So how do I fix this problem?

I wonder if this possible error with setting the time is the reason I got it so cheap at Amazon-- because it's defective (?)

@Jenlyn1969  did you see the banner at the top of the forum? Sounds like something is going on, so if you can just wait for the issue to be resolved, then you can sync and get the time set properly.

You know Odyssey, it's funny that you mention that. I remembered the announcement right before I went to bed last night.  I will uninstall the FitBit app on my phone and then re-install it once a day for the next week or so to see if the issue is cleared up.  I'll be sure to check out any announcements regarding fixes at this website every morning to keep informed.  Thanks for your guidance!

After syncing recently, my Fitbit's time is STILL WRONG.  It says right now's that it's 7:33pm-- the correct time is 3:34pm-- four hours off.  I'm getting very aggravated over this.  The website lists the phones Fitbit does and DOESN'T support and my phone, the Moto e6, isn't on EITHER of these lists, so there shouldn't be a problem.  Also, so far I haven't had the allergic reaction on my wrist from the sensor that I had before.  However, this issue is getting pretty annoying.  There is NO REASON why my Fitbit shouldn't be displaying the correct time.  Frankly, I'm wondering now if this product isn't a piece of sh*t after all, for the money I paid for it.  Getting pretty tired of this nonsense with crappy gadgets-- this has happened to me TOO MANY times before. 😓😡

Any comments/suggestions on this topic? They would be greatly appreciated. Anyone else had a problem like this with your Fitbit? How did you fix it? I'm going to delete my Charge HR and pretend I'm adding a new one. Perhaps this will reset it. I just resynced this thing and it's still displaying the wrong time, which throws my workouts off, as you know. VERY dissatisfied.

I'm having the exact same problem. My Charge HR is exactly 4 hours off from my current time zone. I factory reset my device and it still is wrong. I think we'll have to just wait for Fitbit to fix the issue on their end.

I fixed this time issue today by deleting my FitBit Charge HR from my account and then adding it back again.  Silly that I had to do this, but at least it worked.  Try deleting it.  I think I did it from my fitbit dashboard on my phone.  Hope it works for you.  Ridiculous.
