How to show battery level icon on Charge 2?

used to be able to check the battery level on the Charge 2 by tapping through the different screens- what happened? now we have to plug it in in order to see the charge level.

My mistake I have the Alta HR--- wife has the Charge 2-- I need to see the battery status on the Alta..
