How to store Charge 3 for extended periods?

I will not be using my Charge 3 for a while. However, as far as I know there is no obvious way to turn the thing off. So what do I do?

 

Do I just let it die and ruin the battery? Do I keep charging it every week despite not using it at all? Both options suck.

 

It obviously came delivered in a box in an off state, so obviously it is capable of being not on, but how do I turn it off?

Sorry, but there is no way to shut down the Charge 3. If you don't want to risk permanent battery damage i would charge it when it gets low.
