How to unpair my device when old phone is broken, please help!!

Hi

I have tried everything to get my charge 2 working with my new phone, or that failed, ANY phone.

I think the problem lies that my charge 2 is still connecting to my iPhones bluetooth, unfortunately my iPhone decided to die last night and now I cannot get it to turn on, if I could, I would disconnect my charge 2 from it's bluetooth, so it could be paired with my new phone, which is an Android Huawei p9 lite.

The things I have tried already:

- spoken with a fitbit technical advisor

- restarted the fitbit

- replaced the charge 2 with a new charge 2

- deleted/removed the account altogether

- restarted my p9 lite

- restarted my p9 bluetooth

None of these helped to find the device. I have since found out that fitbit do not support the P9 lite, however the fitbit specialist advised me that it may still work, it didn't.

I then tried to find the device via bluetooth on my friend's iPhone 6S - where I failed again.

Please help as I have only had the fitbit 2 months and I love using it 😞

@sicilyt, you should not have to worry about "unpairing" it from your old phone - since the phone won't turn on, its Bluetooth is not active and not able to connect to the Charge 2 tracker.  To set it up on a new phone, you need to install the app, log into it with your current userid/password, then go to Account and "Set up a Device". Select Replace a device, which will remove your old tracker and install the new one - even if the "old" one and the "new" one are the same tracker, this will work to set it up on your new phone.  You can also accomplish this with your computer.

Same issue. My old iPhones screen is totally dead and the battery is, as far as I can tell, dead now. Can’t unbond my charge 2 so Bluetooth on my new iPhone won’t even see it. It won’t pair at all. Tried all suggestions short of full factory reset which is next but I’ll loose my step count for the day.
