I have repeatedly got messages on the clock face (not sure how) and can’t reverse to time. Today it tells me that Gps is off

"how to" and found out quite a few things about my fitbit I had for quite
some time....

Could you tell me what kind of messages are you seeing on the display? Text messages, error messages, etc? 

Have you tried swiping down the display and delete the messages?
