I'm a bus driver and my charge 2 counts steps like crazy.

Being a bus driver I drive for 4 sometimes 5 hours at a time. Trying to remember what time you start driving and what time you stopped isn't always easy. I think having to take steps off your daily total is a bit naff. Specially the amount you pay for these trackers. I think Fitbit should be doing more considering they're a market leading tracker and yet can't get an accurate reading. Fitbit sort it out please

It's unfortunate, but certain unusual scenarios are likely hard to filter out, and it's likely not worth their effort. That said, I regularly take a bus and don't have that issue. Your arm movement on the wheel combined with the bus is motion are likely confusing the tracker. One option is to try switching the arm you wear the device on. Another is to take the device off when you are driving (not ideal, as you would lose heart rate data, but it would work).

Not very good though is it. I get a few extra steps for arm movements. But it's like up to 3000 steps per driving stint. I can't believe they can't do anything to stop it, it's really poor.

Are there any trackers available that don't log driving steps? Otherwise there pointless for people who drive for a living but still want to keep fit? Which I'd imagine there's thousands of..

I'm not sure about other trackers, but any tracker that's not on your arm (like the clip on ones) should be less vulnerable to the problem, although from what I've read, a bumpy ride contributes significantly to it. And of course, with a clip on tracker, you wouldn't get heart rate data.

Other than that, I believe the only resolution Fitbit recommends is that you manually log the time you are driving as that activity, and the steps will be removed. There's apparently an app called drivebit that helps with this, but I've never used it.
