In Regards of FitBit & Pokemon GO's Adventure Sync (clarification)

To moderators: This is not a suggestion 😉

Merely a clarification in regards of: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Pokemon-Go-Adventure-Sync-Support/idc-p/3043037 (the PGO Adventure Sync Suggestion) - And another suggestion post that is now closed.

I'm very disappointed to see so many complaints towards the FitBit and "desire" to exchange it just because it lacks "proper" integration with Google Fit so it can count towards Pokemon GO. This is Niantics/Pokemon's Fault, Not FitBit!

While I would love this integration, this is something that can't be easily done by FitBit alone. Sure, they can maybe create some kind of integration with Google Fit.. but then what? It's still a third party integration and the data from FitBit that would be send to Google Fit will NOT be accepted by Pokemon GO.

This is something that Niantic/Google has to accept as well. Barely any of the watches (besides google & Apple Watch) are accepted as actual data in Pokemon GO.

You can complain about it towards FitBit (though, they should've already added some kind of integration with google fit already) but this is NOT their fault.

Please do your research first which data is being accepted by Adventure Sync. Because as you can see, all mostly all smartwatches are affected by this issue.

Again, the only thing that is truly lacking on Fitbit's side is proper Google Fit integration. But even  IF that was the case and that was added, PGO would still not accept FitBit's data because Adventure Sync doesn't accept it.

Does anyone know if this has been updated? I recently started playing and this is super annoying! I walk and run a lot, but none of my miles are getting logged!

My battery dies so quickly at work then I have to leave it on my desk on the charger, if Pokémon would accept the data from Fitbit that syncs to the health app that would be wonderful because they can verify it through Fitbit servers, but as of yet they still haven’t updated it to be able to sync Fitbit data to adventure sync, which is unfortunate.

I have a Fitbit I have Pokémon go I use an in between app I link my Fitbit to strava and my fitness pal and link them to apple fitness and that’s linked to the Pokémon go it works perfectly aslong as I have the apps it’s frustrating but it’s a workaround so the data can get to your pogo
