Increasing Resting Heart Rate of the Day

Hi everyone,

In short: my resting heart rate of the day is increasing gradually from 39 BPM to now 44 BPM, over the course of the 10 days that I own the Charge 3.

But when I Iook at it before , I'm rising from bed in the morning, I'm at 40-41 BPM. So how does it "decide" to choose 44BPM?

When I look at the HR graph on the app, it shows that during my sleep and often when I'm already awaken in bed, my HR is lower. But somehow, it seems to still keep 44BPM.

Another question: in the HR graph on the app, it always says Out of Range. What does that mean?

"Out of range" means not in a training zone: fat burn, cardio, peak.

Resting heart rate: Fitbit does not reveal how it calculates RHR; it is not just the lowest heart rate of the day (or night) as others define it, but it still serves the same purpose in looking at trends of it.

Hi JohnnyRow,

Thanks for your answer. I got the out of range now.

For the RHR, that's my understanding too. But for example, this morning. It captured 44bpm as my RHR. After waking up, bio break and get some water. I just went back to bed to read a book, as lazy Sunday morning dictates. my HR dropped to 41BPM for awhile. Yet the Daily RHR didn't change.

It is common to see a heart rate below RHR.  RHR takes into account a longer time frame, perhaps a day.

Thanks JohnnyRow,

It's still a bit odd. Upon awaking this morning I was 39BPM, yet RHR is still locked at 44BPM today. It seems like a very arbitrary number.

Upon looking for an answer as to why my Fitbit app shows out of range all the time on my Versa 2, I came across this thread.  Your answer makes no sense. Looking at my graph from yesterday, it shows 107bpm is "out of range".  On my tracker, 107 is fat burn range.  However, on the app, it is below.  It also shows I had some cardio at 146 on a different graph, but yet on the screen showing exercise zones, they are ALL "out of range".  I looked down at my tracker a few minutes ago during my walk and it showed my heartrate was at 150.  On the app, it shows my highest being 146 "peak zone".  I'm really beginning to doubt Fitbit on ALL of their data.  My steps are constantly off even though I entered my stride.  I know they're off because I count my steps!  In one round of my circuit I do hourly, it could be off as many as 35 steps!  On that, I've just told myself, hey, just look at it as I actually got a whole lot more steps in than Fitbit says I did!  This is my 4th different tracker from Fitbit and I believe it will be my last.  The information it provides is NOT accurate.
