Infiltration of my Charge 4.

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi, my Charge 4 on Wednesday recorded 3 cycle exercises and 1 sport activity, none of which are mine. Considering I have not cycled for about 10 years my Charge 4 seems to have been infiltrated by someone else's device. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

That is super odd @Granemja! Could you check if your Charge 4 has SmartTrack activated by mistake? If it is activated this function allows your tracker to automatically recognize select exercises based on the continuous movement of your arms and if your movements were similar to another activity during a certain amount of time, your tracker might have logged those activities thinking you were active to give you credit for your efforts. If this is the case and you want to edit the “fathom exercises” look here to see how it’s done: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1306.htm

😃 Please let me know if this was the case and helped solved the issue

Those were probably recorded as auto-recognized workouts, which is Fitbit trying to figure out what you were doing based only on the movement pattern of your wrist.

On you phone app, tap the Days of Exercise tile, then gear icon near top right to see the list of possible auto-recognized workouts.  For any you would not do (outdoor bike) or would prefer not get auto-recognized, tap that option and turn auto-recognize off, to prevent this from happening again.

I find auto-recognize usually right for walks but questionable accuracy for others.  And you can always use the on-wrist Exercise App to record any exercise session, even of turned off in auto-recognize.

Hi, thanks for your replies. It seems Auto was turned on for those exercises although I don't know why. Hopefully that will now solve the problem.Sent from my Galaxy

The default is that auto is turned on for all.
