Did you mean:

Initiate an activity directly from the Fitbit app

Hello,

Can you start tracking a run using the Fitbit App, then pause it through the Fitbit App, then unpause it using the Fitbit Charge 2 device, not the Fitbit App?  The reason I'm asking, I wanted to see if I can start tracking my run using the Fitbit App so I can hear the Cues, then pause my tracking via Fitbit App and put my iPhone inside my Camelbak, then unpause my tracking via Fitbit Charge 2 device.  Is that possible?

Thank you,

Rogie

Hi @RogieOhhh thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'm happy to answer your doubt and give you a warm welcome to our Community Forums.

Let me share with you that an exercise activity cannot be initiated nor paused directly through the Fitbit app, you can only do this directly from the Charge 2 device. On the Fitbit app you can only manually log an activity, basically, if you ran but forgot to wear your Fitbit device, you can go to the app and log the activity to be created for it. For more information and details about how to log an activity, you can check. How do I edit or delete Fitbit data and activities?. However, at this specific moment there's no option to do what you asked directly from the app, only your Charge 2.

Let me know if you have any additional questions, I'll be here. .
