Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Elkabong_12! The Motorola G6 Play is currently not on our list of supported devicesThis means that our Android team has not yet tested it for compatibility and added it to the list what means that we don't have a estimated date on when it will be added. If the device supports BLE (AKA Bluetooth 4.0), I recommend giving the setup flow a try to see if you can successfully connect your tracker.

If setup does not work, I recommend setting up and syncing via a device listed as supported or using a Windows 10/Mac computer with integrated Bluetooth 4.0 running the Fitbit Software. Our Android team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates!

My sister owns a phone which is not yet a supported device, but she has tried the following (which I think won't hurt if you try that as well):

1. Your phone must not be set to "visibile for other devices"
2. Your phone must not be "searching for other devices"

If either of these two things are active, the Fitbit cannot connect.

In other words, you have to set it to invisble, and you have to click the stop button if it is searching for devices. So, bluetooth should be on, but not doing anything at all in the bluethooth menu. Then force quit the Fitbit app and it'll sync. At least it has done with my sister's phone for over a month or so.

Let me know if there's anything else I can assist you with.

Thanks for getting back my friend @Elkabong_12. This is due to the incompatibility between your Charge 2 and your G6 Play.

I'd like to mention, just to be clear, that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance. The developer team is aware of the need to add new devices to the list of compatible devices. Woman Very Happy

I'll be around if you need further assistance!

Hi there,

I'm in the same situation with my new Moto G6. Have there been any more changes to the connectivity concerning texts and calls?

Thanks...

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @tnelson! As I've said above, the Moto G6 is currently not in our list of supported devices. You can try what I shared here to see if you can connect your Fitbit to your mobile phone. Additionally, you can follow the tips and recommendations in the article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone

Please don't forget that if you are able to connect your tracker it might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

Have there been any updates with the Motorola G6 compatability upgrade? The phone is popular enough to warrant the upgrade.

Moto g6 doesn't pair with Fitbit charge 2

It actually does...I should've come back and resolved this a while back. My Moto G6 has been synced since about a week after I bought it. It just needed time. Thanks for your input.
